Rugby World Cup 2019 was held at Kumagaya Rugby Stadium in Kumagaya, Saitama Prefecture. Argentina vs. USA on Oct. 9, 2019. Kumagaya Station greeted visitors with festival music played on ornate floats.

Two Kumagaya Uchiwa Matsuri floats were parked outside JR Kumagaya Station to delight rugby spectators. Kumagaya Uchiwa Matsuri is held in July with 12 ornate floats with musicians.
