Opened in 1954, Koganei Park is a huge public park run by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. Besides 1,800 cherry trees, it includes an outdoor architectural museum, bird sanctuary, tennis courts, baseball diamond, and more. Near Musashi-Koganei Station on the Chuo Line.

Located within the huge Koganei Park, this museum opened in March 1993 to show the architecture of 27 reconstructed buildings originally from the Edo Period and up to the 1930s. From thatched-roof houses to the elegant mansions of business tycoons, you can see the building inside and out.

The 37th Koganei Awa Odori dance festival was held on July 25-26, 2015 from 6 pm to 9 pm in Koganei, Tokyo. A total of 43 dance troupes (2,800 performers) appeared during the two-day festival. Many are based in Koganei. Near JR Musashi-Koganei Station on the Chuo Line.
