Originally completed in 1601 by master castle builder Lord Todo Takatora. The castle tower is small, but designated as an Important Cultural Property. It gives great views of the city and bay. Unfortunately, my camera lens had a fogging problem.

Other sights in Uwajima, Ehime Prefecture. Uwajima was the home of the Ehime Maru boat which was sunk by the USS Greeneville submarine in Hawaii in Feb. 2001. I visited Uwajima before the accident.
