Kumano Kodo is an ancient network of pilgrimage trails leading to the three grand shrines of Kumano: Hongu Taisha, Hayatama Taisha, and Nachi Taisha. Photographer Nobuko Shiga walked along the Nakahe-ji Route from Tanabe and these are her pictures.
