YOKOSUKA, Japan (May 28, 2008) A young man waves the American Flag as the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) prepares to depart Fleet Activities Yokosuka for the last time. Kitty Hawk, the Navy's oldest active warship and only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, will soon be relieved by the Nimitz-class nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73).
