Hello I was just looking for picture of Yoshinodayuu and came to your site, but Yoshino dayuu was not a Geiko but rather was a Tayuu (that's why it says as part of her name). Tayuu is the highest level of prostitute in the Kansai region of older Japan, but is distinguished from geiko who do not perform sexual acts as part of their profession. Yoshinodayuu was an incredibly accomplished artisan though and is admired by many geiko although she was not one.
