SHIBATA Toshio

SHIBATA Toshio 柴田 敏雄 (1949- ) Tokyo. Noted photographer of landscape photos mixed with man-made construction.

Graduated Tokyo National Univ. of Fine Arts and Music in 1972, majoring in oil painting. Earned M.F.A. in music from the same university in 1974. Received a fellowship in 1975-76 from the Ministry of National Education and Dutch Culture of Belgium. Thereby enters the Royal Academy of Ghent, Belgium.

Became Assistant Professor at the Univ. of Tsukuba's School of Art and Design in 1978.
