TANAKA Kojo 田中 光常 (1942.5.11-) Shizuoka Pref. Noted wildlife photographer.

Graduated Hokkaido Univ. fisheries dept. in 1944. Worked at the fish market in Odawara, Kanagawa Pref. in 1947-1951.

Turned freelance in 1953. Established the Japan Photo Research Center in 1987.

Awards Newcomer's Award, Photographic Society of Japan, 1964; Special Award, Japan Photo Critics Association, 1964; Award of the Year, Photographic Society of Japan, 1971; Medal with Purple Ribbon, 1989; Distinguished Service Award, Photographic Society of Japan, 1995
