USHIODA Tokuko 潮田 登久子 (1940- ) Tokyo. Instructor at the Kuwasawa Design Research Institute and Tokyo Zokei Univ. in 1966-1978. Currently a freelance photographer.

Her "Ice Box" photos of refrigerators (open and closed) started with her own refrigerator in her one-room apartment where she lived with her husband and young daughter. It was a visual diary of her life at the time. She eventually photographed refrigerators in the homes of her mother, relatives, and friends. Published in the photo book "Ice Box" in 1996.
