NAITO Masatoshi 内藤 正敏 (1938.4.18- ) Tokyo. Self-taught photographer. His sensational photos of mummies earned him the Newcomer Prize in 1966.

Education Studied applied chemistry at Waseda Univ., Tokyo. Member of the university's photography club.

Career Employed at Kurashiki Rayon Company, Tokyo before becoming a freelance photographer. Became deeply interested in mummies.

Awards Nika Award, 1963; Newcomer Prize, Japan Photo Critics Association, 1966; Ken Domon Prize, Tokyo, 1982; Award of the Year, Photographic Society of Japan, Tokyo, 1986.
