NOMACHI Kazuyoshi 野町 和嘉 (1946.10.15-) Kochi Pref. Noted photographer of deserts, Islam and Mecca.

Graduated Prefectural Kochi Technical High School. Apprenticed under KIJIMA Takashi from 1965.

Went freelance in 1971. Traveled often to Africa and Central Asia.

Awards Newcomer's Award, Photographic Society of Japan, 1979; Domon Ken Award, 1984; Award of the Year, Photographic Society of Japan, 1990.
