Ōtsukyō Station (大津京駅 Ōtsukyō-eki?) is a JR train station in Otsu, Shiga Prefecture on the JR Kosei Line operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR West). Formerly named Nishi-Ōtsu Station (西大津駅) until March 2008 when it changed to Otsukyo Station. "Otsukyo" means Otsu Capital of Japan in reference to Otsu as once being Japan's capital when Emperor Tenji (天智天皇) moved the Imperial Capital from Asuka, Nara to Otsu.
