YOKOSUKA, Japan (May 28, 2008) Sailors man the rails of the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) as the ship departs Fleet Activities Yokosuka for the last time. Kitty Hawk, the Navy's oldest active warship and only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, will soon be relieved by the Nimitz-class nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73).
