Pacific Rim countries participated with pavilions having distinctive architecture, landscape, and art. The Japan Pavilion looked quite elaborate with a pagoda, Japanese-style bridge, and two large temple-like buildings.

It was a peaceful gathering of nations and it's sad that only two years later, Japan and America were at war with each other.
