YOKOSUKA, Japan (Dec. 5, 2007) USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) Sailors and Japanese contractors work together to secure an E-2C Hawkeye to a barge for transport to Naval Air Facility Atsugi for repairs. The E-2C Hawkeye is the U.S. Navy's all-weather, carrier-based tactical airborne warning and control system platform. Kitty Hawk is the only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier in the Navy and operates from Yokosuka, Japan.
