MORINAGA Jun 森永純 (1937.11.11) Nagasaki City, Nagasaki Pref.

Educated at a private high school in Saga City, 1953-56; studied photography at Nihon University, Tokyo, 1956-60. Assistant to W. Eugene Smith, Tokyo, 1961-62.

Commercial photographer for Toppan Printing Company, Tokyo, 1963-68. Established own studio in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo in 1969. Lecturer at Nihon University's Photography Department, 1970-71. Represented by Photo Gallery International in Tokyo.

Awards Newcomer Prize, Japan Photo Critics Association, 1970; Japan Photo Association Prize, 1980.
