GOTO Keiichiro 後藤 敬一郎 (1918.10.17-) Nagoya, Aichi Pref. Graduated Aichi-ken Shogyo Gakko. Bought a camera in 1938. and started learning photography from a photo studio and camera club. Influenced by surrealism.

Worked as a press photographer during WWII and 1945-48 in Nagoya. In 1948, took over the Aoyanagi Willow confection business which ran in the family for 4 generations. (Still a major confectioner today.) Started holding numerous photo exhibitions from 1954. France is his major theme. (2000.12.12)

Awards: 5th Japan Photo Critics Association Award, 1962; Chunichi Culture Award, 1963; Award of the Year, Photographic Society of Japan, 1974.
