The 7th Imagi Awa Odori Dance festival was held on Sept. 6, 2008, the first Sat. in Sept. One dance venue was here, in front of Keio Yomiuriland Station. There was a ring and the train tracks in the background.

The opening ceremony started at 6:30 pm here, in front of the train station. A few speeches ensued. Eleven Awa Odori dance troupes participated.

Besides this dance area, there were two other dance areas along the main street near by. 第三会場 駅前演舞場

The first dance troupe perform after the opening ceremony. The dance festival lasted from 7 pm to 9 pm.

What I like about these neighborhood festivals is that it's not so crowded, and yet it's as enjoyable as the bigger festivals.
