Kuusamo is in northeast Finland slightly below the Arctic Circle. I was invited to their 10th Kuusamo Nature Photo festival in September 9-17, 2005 to give slide shows of Japanese photographers.

Snapshots of the jam-packed Japan Day event on April 9, 2006 at the Annantalo Arts Centre in Helsinki. They had various activities to introduce Japanese culture. I also held a photo exhibition there to show Japanese costumes and festivals. The Japanese ambassador to Finland and his wife also attended.
